Puerto Rico Babymoon

Heard about a "Babymoon"?

A babymoon isn't just for pregnant brides to celebrate their honeymoons, it is also a great time for a mom-and-dad-to-be to get away, reconnect and enjoy being together before the arrival of their baby.

Puerto Rico has some marvelous places to stay during a Babymoon. You can stay at a 5-star resort or "rough it" at a private hotel that only allows 5-6 couples to stay at a time. Walk the Blue Flag beaches Puerto Rico is famous for and enjoy the sand and surf - just the two of you.

For a mom-to-be there may not be wine and romance - however if the doctor says it's okay - there's no reason you can't enjoy some romantic, cheek to cheek dancing, quiet walks along the beaches or a week at a mountain cabin. There are hundreds of things to do for your Babymoon and Puerto Rico is ready and waiting.

Make sure that you have your passport and travel papers in order and if you don't, contact us and let us help you put it all together fast and easy. We can not only obtain a certified copy of your birth certificate, we can also handle your passport needs as well.

Updated Travel Regulations June 2009!

If you've already booked a trip to Puerto Rico, make sure that you have a bead on the new travel restrictions that are going into effect in June 2009.

The major change for travelers from the United States will be that they will need a passport after June 1, 2009 to re-enter the country. This means if you visited a country you previously didn't need a passport for such as the Caribbean, Mexico, Canada or Bermuda either by air or ship, you will now need a passport to come back into the United States.

Failure to have a passport will result in being denied re-entry until a passport is acquired. The passport process in Canada and Mexico can take weeks and in Bermuda it can take up to 3 months on the average. If you don't want to extend your vacation (and let's face it - your boss really will mind) - make sure you have your passport up to date and have it with you whenever you travel.

First Case of Swine Flu in San Juan Reported

A cruise ship that made a stop in the Port of San Juan had a female crew member diagnosed with swine flu. She was immediately isolated and treated with antiviral medication.

No other cases of the virus were reported and it's the first to be reported out of San Juan, which is still considered a "safe zone" for travelers as an alternative to visiting Mexico. Although tourism is picking up in Mexico once again as the cases of swine flu were on the decline.

It is believed the woman became exposed to the swine flu virus during a port call in Acapulco, Mexico.

Other passengers were tested and there were no other positive results so this is being considered an isolated incident.
