First Case of Swine Flu in San Juan Reported
A cruise ship that made a stop in the Port of San Juan had a female crew member diagnosed with swine flu. She was immediately isolated and treated with antiviral medication.
No other cases of the virus were reported and it's the first to be reported out of San Juan, which is still considered a "safe zone" for travelers as an alternative to visiting Mexico. Although tourism is picking up in Mexico once again as the cases of swine flu were on the decline.
It is believed the woman became exposed to the swine flu virus during a port call in Acapulco, Mexico.
Other passengers were tested and there were no other positive results so this is being considered an isolated incident.
